FEBRUARY 21ST 1930 - FEBRUARY 23RD 2012
Born February 21st 1930, in the small town of Jackson, Texas. He graduated from Canton Texas High School, in 1947. He went into the Air Force in February 1952. Serving almost 7 years in the Air Force, he was honorably discharged on September 30th, 1959. After serving his country in the Military he went to Phoenix Community College where he earned his AA degree. He then went to work for Standard Oil Company, in Phoenix, Arizona. This is where he met the love of his life and the mother of his 4 children…Marilyn Wade. They lived and started raising a family in Arizona. In 1977 he was transferred to Southern California…where he moved his family to in 1978. A little town called Acton caught his fancy and he loved it here. It was an amazing place to raise a family.... So he bought a house and raised his children here. He loved this little town; it was what he was all about. A friendly greeting, a helping hand and a smile with a little twinkle in his eye. He volunteered for so many things over the years. Acton Rangers, Pancake Breakfast, Lions Club….etc..
After his retirement from Standard Oil, AKA Chevron Oil Company, in 1990 he continued to play golf, play poker and meet his friends. Whether it was for a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink at the local "watering hole" in the afternoon He loved his friends.
On February 16, 2012 he had a massive stroke that left him unable to communicate and live life as he wanted to. So after a few days in the hospital we took him home …it was his favorite place to be. We kept him comfortable and stayed with him. He passed peacefully on February, 23rd, 2012 at 10:17 p.m. His family by his side until his last breath was taken.

He led an amazing life and had amazing adventures, he lived life to the fullest and knew how much his family and friends loved him.
