California, to Clarence and Miriam Stewart. He spent his entire life in
California, with most of those years in the Santa Clarita Valley, a place he
proudly called home.
Jason was the proud father of three children: Jaycie, Natasha, and Gage.
His beloved daughter, Jaycie, preceded him in death in 2014, a loss that
was forever in his heart.
Jason was an entrepreneur at heart who enjoyed learning new skills and
earning certifications and licenses in the fields that interested him.
Throughout his life, he became a licensed General Contractor, Realtor,
Security Professional, and, for a time, an Ordained Minister. Over the
years, Jason worked in retail, food service, construction, public works, and
private security. He proudly served as a Los Angeles County Deputy
Sheriff before retiring and continuing his career in Executive Protection.
He also dedicated countless hours serving his community, volunteering as
a Track & Field coach for the Special Olympics and as an assistant to the
State Adjutant and Executive Director of the California Narcotic Officers'
Association and Survivors Memorial Fund.
Outside of work, Jason was very frugal, always looking for the best bargain!
He loved to cook and enjoyed making people laugh. He had an incredible
sense of humor and was at the ready with a clever one-liner, whether it was
a favorite quote from an old movie or a perfectly timed joke. His laughter
and wit were gifts that brought smiles to family and friends alike.
Jason is survived by his children, Natasha Stewart, and Gage Stewart; his
father, Clarence Stewart Jr.; his sisters, Leisa Caples and Terisa River;
brothers, Clarence Stewart III and wife Sylvia and Tyrone Stewart as well
as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jason will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the
hearts of all who knew and loved him.
