

Jeannine Louise Mingus ended her sojourn on earth on March 3, 2020 in Santa Clarita, California. She began this journey on October 14, 1928 in Omaha Nebraska as Jeannine Louise Van Hoosen. In the interim she graduated from Central High School in Omaha and from California State University at Northridge in Northridge, California. She and her husband, Wallace Wayne Mingus, were married for 63 years until his passing in 2009. Together they had four children: Lynda Jeannine Mingus Shirley, Michael Wayne Mingus (who died in infancy), Jill Marie Mingus McGlynn, and Scott Wallace Mingus. Jeannine is survived by three of her children, 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. In her life she served those around her in in Girl Scouts, the Episcopal church, and Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. For a time she worked as a driver transporting seniors to doctor, dentist and other appointments. Her main occupation was that of wife and mother. She was the classic homemaker.
