Jennie passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on August 26, 2022. Jennie battled several years of illness with a brave, strong, and positive outlook until the very end. Jennie was a native of Southern California born in Whittier on January 18, 1956. Her volunteer work at local hospitals proved her compassion for others ran deep. Jennie worked almost a decade as a banker then dedicated the rest of life as a great mom and wife. Her kindness reached from family to strangers. Her smile, laugh, and warm heart will be forever deeply missed. Jennie is survived by her husband of 34 years Mark Hovland, daughter Shannon Wesolowski (Brandon), son Robert Tilley (Alexis), mother-in-law Jeanne Hovland, sister-in-law Laurie Shelton, step daughter Christine Smith, step son Michael Hovland, and her 8 grandchildren: Cory, Desiree, Brooke, Deacon, Shane, Tatum, Arden, and Luke. Forever in our hearts.
