Jesse was born in El Paso, TX to his mother, Esperanza, on 11/29/1946. As a young toddler, Jesse and his mother moved to Los Angeles where he primarily grew up and attended school. Later, he would spend a couple of years of high school in Bakersfield, CA where he would meet the love of his life, (Marcy) his “chiquita bonita”. They attended prom, graduated high school, got married, had three children, two grandchildren, and lived happily ever after. Fairytales could be written about their love and dedication to each other and to their family.
Jesse spent his career in warehouse management, always known to be very well organized and process improvement driven. “Systematic, automatic!” was an expression often exclaimed by Jesse after making a new improvement, either at work or even at home. He had a system and plan for everything.
Jesse also had a joke or a story for everyone, in English or Spanish. He was definitely a unique character that approached life with a fiery passion and charm that profoundly impacted those closest to him. He lived life to the fullest, an eternal optimist that could seemingly manifest success out of any situation. He loved his family with extreme enthusiasm and pride.
Jesse is preceded in death by his daughter (Lisa), but is survived by his wife (Marcy), his daughter (Deborah), his son (Jesse Russell), and his grandchildren (Evan and Luke).
The family of Jesse wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses that helped support the family during a very difficult time.
