Jose moved to Pasadena, California with his parents and siblings when he was 12 years old.
He met his wife Carmen Dominguez in Mexico when they were kids, but it wasn’t until 1979 they would find each other again in the US. It took two days for him to ask her on a date, a few hours for her to accept, and a couple of months for them to get married. From that moment on they became “Pepe y Carmen” never one without the other.
From this union was born 3 daughters: Minerva, Maricela, and Monica. He was a wonderful father; no problem was too big for him. Family of five, enjoyed going cruising with him in his magical red truck, and a stop at 711 was a must, to go see his work sites.
Jose found great joy in being a grandfather of five: Jose, Brianna, Kaylee, Sophia, and Rylee. He never fell short of amazing, devoted, and loving. Some of the things he enjoyed the most was taking them to the beach, playing games, feeding the seagulls, and ending the day with ice cream.
He departed this life June 02, 2020. Our lives will never be the same, but he left behind his strength and wonderful life lessons. We know he is safe in the hands of God, waiting to greet us with a smile because once again he will be able to take us on a ride in his truck, and as always he will know the way.
