Happy Birthday to Auntie Katie.  9 years ago Auntie Katie invited our family to go to Disneyland for her birthday.  I felt so privileged and honoured that she would think of us to join her on her birthday.  I was so blessed and thankful to spend the day with her.  I’ll never forget her kindness. Thank you Auntie Katie, we love you!

Today, one year ago, the Lord brought you home. You still live forever in my heart. I didn't realize how much your presence meant to me until I no longer had you. I miss your smile the most because your heart radiated all the love and joyful words into emotions your mouth couldn't speak. We felt how much you loved us. I see you in me everyday and I'm so glad I have your comic personality. I pray everyday for God to give me strength every time I start to feel that ache in my heart. He calms me and reminds me you're with him now. So blessed to have loved you my whole life.  ♡

This is one of my favorite photo’s of Katie and Liza at Isaiah’s AA graduation party just last year in April 2023.  It was such a tender moment.

Walking path to the Princeville Resort, Kauai.  Katie loved the flowers and the view.  We went to the resort to view the art gallery at the resort.  We tried to view as many art galleries on the island for Katie to enjoy.

The light house .  This area had hidden bunkers in the hills during WWII to view the oncoming Japanese planes.  The bunkers still exist today.  I love Katie’s smile here.

The backyard of the condo.  It was a beautiful 2 story condo with lots of space and a big kitchen.  We shared some good ramen meals here.  Kibe and Katie had a beautiful room upstairs.  It was so nice to relax and “talk story” in the living room .   Katie liked playing games and coloring on her iPad.

One of my most favorite memories of Katie was when we went to Kauai together.  Hanalei Bay, Kauai.  We walked the pier and watched the little children jump off the pier into the waves.  There were many paddle boards out on the water.  The locals lined the beach with their ukulele’s, canopy’s and barbecues.   What a great life.

We will all miss her wonderful smile.  It came from her soul, shone through her eyes and always made us feel her genuine joy.
