I miss you Ben I can’t believe it has been a month since you left 💔💔💔you are missed - I think back on our gym time when we would work out at 445 am on treadmills at golds gym! We would talk up a storm!

I am glad I saw you for your birthday!!! 🎉🎊wish the celebration lasted longer. 

It’s hard to believe you won’t call and say “porter what the hell are you up to???”

l first met Ben and Cindi when they became my neighbors on Alpha Road in Glendale back in the early '70s -over 50 years ago!  We all loved living in the beauty of the Verdugo Woodlands, a fabulous neighborhood.   And we were all and still are,   big- time cat lovers.  Time marched on, but we were able to reconnect in person here in Ventura over 10 years ago.  I couldn't locate those great pictures of us out on the Ventura Pier on a breezy, sunny day!  They met my husband for the first time, and we were able to pick up where we left off,  like we had always been in close touch.  Ben had the most wonderful personality (Cindi, too) outgoing, considerate, and thoughtful.
   We are sorry Ben went through so much these last years.  Yet, he persevered with his deep faith and belief in regaining his health and excellent care and encouragement  from his loving wife, Cindi.
     Our message to Ben - it was a great pleasure to know you and we are thankful for the friendship of a fine man through the years.  Rest in peace and comfort, dear Ben.
We are here for anything Cindi might need.

From the moment we met and your first words to me were..”I’m sick!”  to the last time we spoke and you sang Happy Birthday to me, there are 51 years of memories to cherish. You were my brother and my friend. You are in Heaven now where all the fish are biting and all your teams are winning. Thanks to Jesus Christ and His gift of eternal life, this is not “Good bye” but “Until we meet again”.

Ben was a true All-American Champion --  husband, family member, and friend. He blessed us all by gracing our lives.  May he rest forever in God’s peace and love.

Holding Ben's family and friends in my heart as you say your farewells and celebrate his life with fond memories and moments you all shared.  May his light forever shine through in your daily remembrances and actions and your sorrows subside as you recall a life well-lived.

I met both Ben and Cindi at the Spectrum club in Valencia.   Ben had a wonderful sense of humor. When I think of him, I think of his smile as he made a joke. He was generous, thoughtful & caring.  Ben was social ~ Everyone knew Ben.

Ben was my friend for over 30 years. We jogged together(when we were much younger) he was on my men’s basketball team,  we fished,  we golfed ,  We went on a few vacations together, and when Ben and Cindy went on vacation, I would watch their kitty cats, when we went on vacation they would watch our dogs for many years,  I was doing chemo Ben would pick me up every Tuesday and after we would go to Las Rocas to lunch. He was a great friend for a long time we shared the same thoughts at the same time when it comes to humor.  I will miss him , I will think of him often and fondly. He was a good guy.
