

Lenora was survived by her Daughter and son-in-law Sandra & Wes Mashburn, Ojai, CA, Daughter and Son-in law Sherri & Bill Harper, Kuna, ID, Son & Daughter-in-law Danny & Connie Shires, Canoga Park, CA. Grandsons; Ron & Jill Orozco, Mammoth Lakes, CA, Rob & Stephanie Orozco, Steamboat Springs, CO. Clint & Janine Shires, Canoga Park, CA Granddaughters: Calie & Brett Labit, Meridian, ID, Kendall & Soren Laursen, Boise, ID., Cassie Shires, Canoga Park, CA and nine Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son Roger Blair, her mother and step father Stella & Lawrence Bailes and her brothers, James and Tom Blair and father Challie Blair.
She was born on February 14, 1924 “Valentine’s Day” to Challie and Stella Blair. She was named Dessie Lenora Blair, which when she was older never used the name Dessie and was always known as Lynn or Lenora. Her father was killed in a mining accident when she was just 2 years old. Her mother married Lawrence Bailes and they raised Lynn and her two brothers. She went to school in, West Virginia and married Ellery L. Shires and they raised four children, Roger, Sandra, Sherri and Danny. In 1959 they moved the family to Culver City, CA, to join her parents. They purchased their first home in Granada Hills, CA, where she remained until her death on April 12, 2013. In 1967 she lost her oldest son Roger Blair and in 1975 she lost her husband Ellery. She prevailed and went to work for a local company called Validyne Electronics. She was a very dedicated employee and moved up the ladder quickly to supervisor. She loved working and made lifelong friends there. She was very active, loved to bowl and was really good at it. She was an excellent cook and home maker; she loved boating and trips to Vegas. She got to travel with her children and spend time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone was welcome in her home and she was fun to be around. She never sat down she was always busy doing something. When people would speak of her they have always said “she made me feel special”… She will be sincerely missed.
