Leonard Lewis Long, II, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Emeritus Garden Manor in Garden Grove, CA.
He is survived by his children: Debra (Rick) Hoover, Leonard III (Buzz), Bill (Cyndy), Lee Ann (Brian) Hilliker, Randall, Kelly; as well as 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanne “Dee” Irene (Allen) Long. Leonard was a member of the Mason Lodge and a life-long engineer who owned several companies in the Valencia, CA area. He and Dee enjoyed living in Santa Clarita for more than 45 years. A graveside service for family will take place on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Eternal Valley, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13 at Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 10925 Valley Home Ave, Whittier, CA 90603. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Leonard’s honor to the charity of your choice.
