Librada Suastegui, 76, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Born in 1946 in Colonia Portales, Mexico, Librada Mendez Perez met her future husband, Andres Suastegui, in Mexico City, Mexico in 1965. They married in Acapulco, Mexico where they raised a family of seven children. Andres and Librada Suastegui eventually moved their family to San Fernando, California in the late 1980s where Librada happily remained until her passing.
Librada Suastegui is now survived by her husband Andres, their seven children Andres, Lucia, Maricela, Demetrio, Anna (Victor), Loreto, and Tomas, their nineteen grandchildren, and their four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating Librada Suastegui’s life will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321, followed by a committal service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
