Hello Leann, Juliann & Loujon.

 I am your cousin, Karen, you might remember me as “Carrie”
my younger sister was “Sherri”. Emma and Donald Vasquez were my parents. My mom was your father’s older sister.

We used to visit you in California when we were young. I remember your father and mother so much. We always had a good time visiting you. 

Uncle Louis called me often when my mom was ill. Around 2015. My father and mother passed away 30 days apart in 2016. 

When he stopped calling, I kept looking up his name to see if I might know what happened to him. I just recently came upon some information about the Torres Family history. I was looking up his name wrong. As soon as I entered it correctly, I found his obituary. That is why my note to you is so belated. 
I am so sorry to all of you. 

I remember your beautiful home and your mother, Phyllis. 
She was such a lovely person. I liked her accent!

Your dad took us to see “The Sound of Music”, one visit and he took us out to eat. I remember it being a fancy steakhouse. You probably were there, too. The steakhouse had funny shaped cheeseburgers. Ha!

You all probably have beautiful children and maybe you are grandparents?

I am retired after working 45 years, I have one child, and one  grandchild and I live in a log cabin in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico. My husband and I live a simple life. We like to travel and have been around the world. That is my favorite thing to do.

I remember all of you. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I really loved your mother and father.
