Lupe Caballero

1928 - 2016

Lupe Caballero, 87, of Palmdale, CA passed away on October 7, 2016. She was born in Saugus, California on October 24, 1928 to Samuel and Willamenia Treviao. She attended school in San Fernando.

Lupe married Frank Ruiz Caballero March 30, 1946 in Los Angeles. She worked as an electronic supervisor for many years. She was involved with the SCV Committee on Aging, the Palmdale Senior Center, and multiple volunteer groups. In 1997-1998 Lupe received appreciation for enhancing the independence, dignity and quality of life for the valley’s senior citizens.

Lupe was the most dedicated person to her family and will be missed dearly. She was the most selfless, compassionate and giving person to everyone she met. Lupe had an immediate effect on you just by the kind words she spoke. She always had a way to turn a negative into a positive! “Grandma Lupe” was so proud of all her grandchildren and could not have been more proud to have been able to have 5 generations in her family.

She is survived by her sons, Roy Caballero, Rudy Caballero and Ray Caballero; her grandchildren: Alisa, Frank, Deanna, Rudy, Linda, Dennis, Michael; her great-grandchildren: Ryan, Christian, Ariyanna, Lillyanne, Zach, Brendon, Candice and Adrianna; her great-great-grandchild, Brook Ray. Lupe was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank and her son, David Caballero.

Lupe’s family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Sabarro and staff, Dr. Naik and staff, and the Senior Center for all their support.

Services will be held at Eternal Valley Mortuary, 23287 N Sierra Highway, Newhall, CA 91321. Visitation will be in the Chapel of the Hills on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 3:00 p.m. A Graveside Service in the Veterans Garden will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17th .
