I just learned of Lupe's passing upon returning home from a long business trip. I've known known Lupe for over 30 years. We met not long after my mother passed away in 1984 from cancer at the age of 50 when I was 27. Lupe was my 2nd mom, stepping in and watching over me over the years. Through the ups and downs, Lupe was always there for me. Seldom in life do we come across incredible people like Lupe. My most proud moment was having her as my guest attend my graduation from the UCLA Endodontic Residency Program in 2009. Her faith, positive attitude and constant encouragement will be with me forever.  God Bless you Lupe Mark

Grandma..I don't even know where to start..there is so much I would like to say..but I'll just say  what is most important.. I love you grandma.. I know we weren't always the closest.. And we definitely had our UPS and downs...but I thank you for all those good times we got to share together.. Those days camping on the beach.. And me being the biggest brat in the world..or I'll never forget the time I was mad at you cuz youade me wear that stupid scarf...lol...you will always be in my heart.. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you at the end..but don't ever think you were forgotten... May you fly with the angelsangels now...tell grandpa Harry and grandpa Leo I said hello and that I love them very much..you are gone now..but you will never be forgotten...

Lupe was a truly inspirational human being. I treasure the friendship of  this beautiful lady.  At St. Joseph the Worker Church, our choir's life was enriched by her personality and her beautiful voice. She was always aware of the social climate of our group.  It was her idea that we might take turning bringing treats for our breaks during our weekly evening rehearsals.  We now have instituted that practice.  A couple of times,  she hosted our social gatherings at her house in Woodland Hills.  We had a "last hurrah" in that fantastic concert tour  to Central Europe in July, 2008! I thank her family for posting choir photos in the Photo Gallery of her obituary. Lupe and her spirit will live in each of us that had the fortune of singing with her and having her friendship.  Rest in peace, querida amiga.
