June 20, 1993 – June 17, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marcos C. Peña Jr., lovingly known as Junior, just shy of his 32nd birthday. He left this world on June 17, 2025, and went home to heaven—leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and honor.
Junior is survived by his devoted mother, Michelle, and stepfather Albert Rubio; his siblings Deja, Diserre, Ashley, and Albert; his father, Cesar, and stepmother Carmen; and his siblings Arianna and Victoria. He also leaves behind grandmothers, tía’s, tío’s, cousins, friends, and his brothers and sisters in uniform—all of whom adored and admired him deeply and who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Mario, Grandpa Rosendo, Nana, Tata, and many relatives, whose spirits no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Junior proudly served his country in the United States Army, then continued his life of service with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where he worked with pride and dedication until his final day.
But beyond the badge, Junior was a man full of life. He loved his family fiercely, had a passion for fast cars, rarely missed a day at the gym, and always made sure he looked his best—not out of vanity, but because he believed in showing up for life with confidence. He had an incredible way of making those around him feel good about themselves—seen, valued, and loved.
Junior lived fully, loved deeply, and left a mark on every life he touched. He was the kind of son, brother, and friend who made the world brighter just by being in it.
He will be missed beyond measure.
John 14:1-3 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
