Rosario Herrera was born in El Salto, Michoacán, where her roots were planted in faith, humility, and love. Guided by courage and a mother’s unwavering hope, she journeyed to the United States carrying little more than her dreams—dreams shaped by a single purpose: to create a better life for her children. Every step she took was an act of sacrifice, every hardship borne with quiet resolve.
She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Anita Lupe Herrera Carteno and her son, Serafín Herrera, whom she now embraces in eternal rest.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rodrigo Herrera, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage—a life built on devotion, perseverance, and deep, abiding love. She is also survived by her children: Antonio Herrera, Obdulia Herrera, Carlos Herrera, Maribel Riggatire (Jeff), Gregorio Herrera (Berzabeth), Marilyn Herrera, and Ventura Noemy Herrera. Her love continues through her 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren—each one a living testament to the love she poured so freely.
Rosario was a tireless and hardworking woman who built a home filled with warmth, discipline, and unconditional love. Her faith was the anchor of her life—deeply rooted, quietly powerful, and ever-present. In her calm strength and graceful resilience, she showed her family how to endure, how to love, and how to believe.
Though her earthly journey has come to a close, her love remains—woven through generations and felt in every life she touched.
Rosario Herrera leaves behind a legacy of faith, sacrifice, and enduring love. She will be remembered always and cherished forever.
