Dear Chris and Jill,
We are so sorry you have lost Mark.  What a wonderful person he was.  
Dori's years, teaching with him, at Sierra Vista Junior High hold some of her favorite memories.  He was such a kind hearted guy with a sense of humor that takes a back seat to no professional comedian!   His relationship with  fellow staff members put a special light in the day and his ability to work with students was amazing.  He was certainly one of the 'gems' that we hear about in education.  He went above and beyond the "call of duty" by being involved in so many non-teaching  activities that helped students have a better school time experience.
We cannot imagine how difficult this time is for you.  We are just so, so sorry for your loss.

Mark was a true class act, friend and mentor to many. His love for his wife, family, friends, church and '66 Mustang is unsurpassed. There is a deep emptiness is all of us...

A great history teacher. His class was a lot of fun, one that I looked forward to. Thank you for everything, Mr. Schock.

Mark was solid gold on many levels. We never saw him slip. He was/is a hero to us. Our world is smaller with his passing.

Mark and my brothers grew up together in the church and I always remember him with a big smile on his face, laughing all the time.  He was always so kind and truly cared for everyone he met.  Mark you will be missed.

Mark was a great teacher and boss to me when I was in high school, but even more importantly, he was an amazing friend to my dad for more than 30 years.  My thoughts and prayers are with Chris and Jill.  Mark will be missed.

Mark is a unique and very blessed man. He made every one he met an instant friend. Often when one leaves this life we have various ways to say it. I have come to prefer the term, they "passed on". In that vein, Mark passed on to me and all who ever had the joy and blessing to have known him the inspiration to love our neighbors, no matter who they were. Thanks a million Mark for passing on such a treasured legacy! Love you brother.

Mr. Schock was a gifted teacher.  He introduced to me the love of history.  Learning that it was the "Why" and the "Story" that was important, not the dates.  For this I will be forever grateful.

Mr. Schock was the best teacher I had at Saugus High School. I remember taking Graphic Arts classes with him and remembering that was my first summer job. Thoughts and Prayers are with the family and friends.

I will always remember Mark as the young man who stole Chris's heart.  What a wonderful man of God!  He will be greatly missed.  Until we meet again, dear friend.

The most amazing husband and father.  Thank you Mark for 42 years of pure bliss!
