Martiniano was not only known by his name but also, Rudy to friends and family, Martin to family, Rodolfo to some, Dad to his children and grandchildren, Amor to his wife, Nino to his goddaughters, and Amigo to his granddaughters. He came to the United States to begin the adventure with the love of his life and to pursue the American dream. Once he became a citizen he began working at the General Telephone Company for 25 years were he retired as well. He was always known as a hardworking and dedicated man in all aspects of his life. Rudy was also a godly man who was a great influence in many people’s lives. He was always generous, giving, loving, humorous, passionate, energetic, and organized with everyone, especially his family. Some of Rudy’s favorite hobbies were gardening in his backyard, managing his real estate properties, walking for miles at end, watching Dodger and Laker games, sitting at Starbucks with his amor, reading the paper with Charlie, making new friends, going to church on Sunday mornings with a coffee in hand, and watching his grand-daughters’ softball games. Till his very end, Rudy was a strong willed man who had everything organized till his last breath. Cancer may have taken him away too soon, but he enjoyed the last moments with his family. He would always say “No llores and be strong”. Martiniano went to Heaven to see the room that had been prepared for him on May 2, 2020. So today we celebrate Dad, Nino, Rudy, Martin, Martiniano as a man who fought so hard to stay with his family, a friendly face around the neighborhood and at church, a businessman, a husband, a father, a brother, a father-in-law, a grandfather, and a godfather.
