Thank you God, for  the blessing of  over 40 years knowing and loving  Michael, our friend.

My condolences to Professor Redmond's family.  May his soul rest in peace.
Professor Redmond was my instructor at Yo San University in Los Angeles, CA from 2004-2007.  He taught all the western sciences, so I had classes with him for most of the four years.  He made all the classes interesting.  My favorite memory during one class (I can't remember now which one) involved Mr. Redmond talking about his time in CT working as a male nurse and stating that people in CT didn't ever travel or move anywhere, and when I told him I was from CT he looked straight at me an exclaimed " how did you get out?" I have recanted that story many times over the years to different family and friends, always with warm fond memories of Mr. Redmond.  He will be missed by many.

Such a wonderful man, I think of him often. As his student, I experienced him as not just incredibly smart, but deeply caring. I admired his commitment to equality, his unique humor, and his stories in class, which always served to help understanding the material so we could use it in our future practices. Sending love to the family during this time, may your memories of him bring warmth and light.

Michael was my teacher at Emperor’s College in the mid to late 90’s. Probably my favorite teacher ever. His dedication to excellence, and tough love style, combined with deep kindness and wily wit was second to none. He was a legend, an exceedingly brilliant man and a beautiful human. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing. My deepest condolences to his family.

Professor Redmond left an indelible mark on my experience learning anatomy and physiology at Yo San University over 20 years ago now. Our class met for 4 hours in the evening. While that seems like an impossibly long time, Michael kept it moving with information on our bodies intermixed with nuggets of information about the world, and of course, the occasional tale from his experiences as a combat medic. Some of these would send me to the restroom to splash some cold water on my face. 

Unbelievably able and lovely man. We will miss his presence on this Earth.

I’m sorry to learn of Professor Redmond's passing. I was a student of his at YoSan and am grateful to have learned from him knowledge that I am still applying daily. He truly cared about sharing his wisdom for the greater good! Whiles seemingly introverted, Professor Redmond was warm, approachable, generous and funny!  I am better for having crossed paths with him. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the family. Michael was my colleague in the acupuncture schools in Los Angeles. Funny, smart and such a nice guy.

Michael Redmond not only  taught us what we needed in the classroom through humor stories and banter. He also went far beyond the classroom learning and convinced me to reconnect with my family. I also remember his kindness and caring for all students in his classes. He  always talked about how proud he was of his daughter. 

He tried to hide his angels wings and halo but they were there! May his transition be smooth and his soul find peace.

Michael was my teacher in the late 90’s at Emperor’s College. He was a one of a kind teacher and person. He cared about his students and demanded an exceedingly high level of dedication ; that is what he gave to us. He was also one of the smartest people I’d ever met.  I remember seeing him many years later after I graduated and he would gush about his daughter- he was so happy to have a baby and be a dad. My deepest sympathy to your family. His lessons live on in so many of his students. May his memory be a blessing

To Michael's family: I am so sad to hear this news about dear Michael. He was one of my first teachers, starting in 1991. I will never forget his sense of humor, humility, and generosity. He was so kind to my fellow student Marc Chesler (who has sadly also passed away many years ago). Please know how deeply he touched so many students.

Michael Redmond was my teacher.  I learned so much from him.  He was funny, kind, so very smart and made his long classes and difficult tests easier to handle and absorb than the material could have been. lol..He taught me a lot and 12 years later, I feel confident and inspired to learn more because of Mr. Redmond. He was one of my all time favorite teachers.  My condolences to his family, I'm so very sorry for your loss, I know it is great.  Knowing how he touched my community of students, my heart goes out to you his family and friends.  Bless his soul.  Thank you Mr. Redmond.  I'll never forget you..or what you taught me so well.  You will be missed.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Michael. He was a long-time, well-loved faculty member at Yo San and dedicated many years to teaching and supporting our students.

Michael cared deeply about his work and about the people around him. He showed up consistently, shared his knowledge generously, and made a lasting impact on our community. Many of our students and alumni carry his influence with them today.
