Mojisola Juliana Adekanmi, aged 70, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in her deep sleep in Castaic, Los Angeles, California. Her passing was gentle—true to the quiet strength and steady presence she carried through her life and shared so freely with those around her.
Born in Ifewara, Osun States, Nigeria she spent part of her early years in Lagos, where the rhythm of city life helped shape her resilience and warmth. She began her working life as a typist—diligent, dependable, and proud of honest work. Even when life became difficult through long years of sickness, she met each season with courage, choosing perseverance over complaint and continuing to show up for the people who needed her.
Mojisola was also an entrepreneur, resourceful and hardworking, with a steady determination to provide and to build. Her faith remained central to her life, and she served faithfully in various volunteer roles in the church. Many will remember her as the light in the room and a true prayer warrior—someone who carried others in prayer and encouraged them with quiet conviction. She was also deeply hospitable: you could not go to bed hungry with her, because she gave generously and made sure people were cared for in the most practical ways. Above all, she was a mother and grandmother whose love anchored her family. She poured herself into the lives of her children and grandchildren—offering guidance, prayers, encouragement, and the kind of support that does not seek attention but changes everything.
She is survived by her children—Michael Adekanmi, Claudius Adekanmi, Tobiloba Adekanmi, and Abosede Adekanmi—and her cherished grandchildren, who will continue to honor her life, cherish her teachings, and keep her memory close.
