Funeral services will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary with Father Craig of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, officiating. The burial will follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
Ody was born in Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She went to school at Gapan South Central School and Nueva Ecija South High School. She married Pete (Pedro) Samen de Guzman in Quezon City, Philippines. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas majoring in Elementary Education. She began teaching at the age of 18 and taught in the Philippines and in the U.S. for 30 years. She was involved in many organizations including the Saint Patrick’s Filipino Community where she was President and Choir Leader. She is a supporter of the arts and loved to bake, garden, chat with friends, and pray.
Ody is survived by her husband, four children, and three grandchildren.
