Dear Paul - I was so saddened today when I heard of your passing from Heather.  You were such a wonderful friend and neighbor, and I have known you since 1984.  You dearly loved your wonderful wife Carrie, kids, and Vincie - and you were so kind to all who knew you.  You had a smile for everyone and were so much fun to be around - thanks for all the help you gave me too.  Without you here the world is a sadder place, but Heaven is brighter with you in it.  Rest in peace, Paul.

Paul, thank you for sharing your time with me. Thank you for all the things you were willing to teach me. Thank you for allowing me refuge in your castle. Thank you for accepting me into your family. I'm sorry I disappointed you. I want you to know even in your passing I continue to look to you as a leader and mentor. Your passing is my life changing event. You and your wife Carrie, showed us all what unconditional love was and with a little patience and a lot of love and hard work, what the American Dream looks like. I will avenge your death and make it my life's work erecting THE RED STAR REMOTE RECREATION RELIEF STATIONS. I LOVED YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. We couldn't let you go to heaven without your own Man Cave. So we bought you a star in the constellation of Scorpio, as you and your wife were born and married. We will look for you there!

To my wonderful & handsome Husband Paul, I will LOVE you forever 
...until we meet again

  I met Paul several years ago when he came to paint for us at the D.C. Tillman plant. Paul was always a lot of fun on the job and touched so many of us with his helpful positive style. Paul could talk to me about his children and concerns, I could talk to him about mine. He was involved with his kids and wanted them to do the best they could and would not let a setback discourage him. He would always tell us how proud he was of them.
  Not too long ago Paul told me that he was worried and losing sleep over a mole on his back that he feared might be cancerous. It took a few agonizing weeks to get the lab results which turned out ok. One morning after that, Paul came over to where I was working to tell me something he was excited about. He told me that he had been so scared about the possibility of getting cancer and that he had been going to church to pray. He believed that God had arranged for him to see the doctor in time. He said that he was so thankful to God, that "It's like Hallelujah! No, (correcting himself) it IS Hallelujah! I could see Paul had faith that God had heard his prayers and healed him. I agreed, God had! Paul encouraged me that day and I'll always be encouraged when I remember his testimony.

Dearest Paul. I will always remember your warm hugs and happy personality.  You were bigger than life.  That's why it's so hard to imagine you are not here.  How we will all miss you; Carrie, Vincie, Paulie, Tristan, Jaclyn, Tyler, Ann, family, friends and me.  I remember our birthday parties for Jaclyn and Tyler in the pool at my home.  So much fun!  Now, I see your face when I get ready to sleep and include you in my prayers and say, "Sleep tight now my sweet children, Diane (my sister), Chrissy (my friend) and Paul(a brother I wish I had).  I will carry your hearts in my heart.   Rachel

Paul Campbell, and his Brother. About the same ages as me and my brother. Same neigborhood. He reminded me of me, and vince reminded me of my brother. They grew up the way I did, parents cared like mine did, we knew the same people, did the same things. I cant think of one bad memory. Not one. When we met later on this life, we seemed to have had to overcome the same things, and had the same results and outlook on life. His wife I knew from those early days, so here was a neighborhood kid, all grown up, married a neighborhood gal, who knew my neighborhood friends, and even some of my newer friends by happenstance. You were a good man. You stood for what you believed in. You did what was right and the best you can. You are an example to me. Peace to your family, I will see you on the other side.

You were taken way too soon Paul- My thoughts are with your family and I pray for Vinci's strength being "Uncle" and watching over Paul's family. Rest in peace, Paul

Rest in Peace Paul, he was a good neighbor, a good friend, a good father, a good husband and had a huge heart.  He was one of those really, really salt of the earth good guys.  He will be greatly missed by all who had the privliege of meeting him.

Rest in peace Paul.  My dear friend from our early years.  We had our little gang of friends. We terrorized the streets of Van Nuys.  Most of my fondest memories, thanks for being a part of that. My prayers are with you Carrie and Family. Love Marie.
