Pedro Martinez Montellano

“ God, for you have us on Earth for but a brief amount of time until you lead us back home to the kingdom Heaven.” These are words said by a father, grandfather and husband at the end of saying grace.

This man was Pedro Martinez Montellano or “Perico” as he was known to his friends and family. He was welcomed by the Lord to His kingdom on March 28,2022. Pedro was 80-years old.

From a young age, Pedro met the love of his life, Marina, in their birthplace of Juarez, Chihuahua , Mexico. It was love at first sight, and she supported him every step of the way. They were married shortly after. Together, they had one child: Claudia.

His grandson, Jonathan, was Pedro’s everything. He mentored him and helped to shape him into the loving and caring man that Jonathan is.

An avid fan of all things baseball, he played the sport for many years and would attend games any chance he got. Another favorite sport was boxing, always making sure to order the latest match on Pay-Per-View.

His jokes and witty personality made any outing memorable. He loved birthdays and celebrating them with his family. There always had to be cake, along with good food.

Though gone, he will never be forgotten. Though missed, we know in our hearts that one day we will be together again. We love him and he will always be in our hearts.

“Dios, porque nos tienes en la Tierra por un breve período de tiempo hasta que nos guíes de regreso al reino del Cielo”. Estas son palabras dichas por un padre, abuelo y esposo al final de dar gracias.

Este hombre era Pedro Martínez Montellano o “Perico”, como lo conocían sus amigos y familiares. Fue recibido por el Señor en Su reino el 28 de marzo de 2022. Pedro tenía 80 años.

Desde muy joven, Pedro conoció al amor de su vida, Marina, en su ciudad natal de Juárez, Chihuahua, México. Fue amor a primera vista, y ella lo apoyó en cada paso del camino. Se casaron poco después. Juntos, tuvieron una hija: Claudia.

Su nieto, Jonathan, era todo para Pedro. Fue su mentor y ayudó a convertirlo en el hombre amoroso y afectuoso que es Jonathan.

Un ávido fanático de todo lo relacionado con el béisbol, jugó el deporte durante muchos años y asistía a los juegos cada vez que tenía la oportunidad. Otro deporte favorito era el boxeo, siempre asegurándose de pedir el último partido en Pay-Per-View.

Sus bromas y su personalidad ingeniosa hacían que cualquier salida fuera memorable. Le encantaban los cumpleaños y celebrarlos con su familia. Siempre tenía que haber pastel, junto con buena comida.

Aunque se haya ido, nunca será olvidado. Aunque extrañados, sabemos en nuestros corazones que algún día estaremos juntos de nuevo. Lo amamos y siempre estará en nuestros corazones.
