Ricky, my cousin, neighbor,and friend, you will always be loved and never and forgotten. Wana and Children, my thoughts and prayers are with you now and always. I love you all.

It was a blessing to have known my friend and co-worker over the last 14 years.  Renard was an excellent compliment to our office, his sincerity and dedication to public service, his ability to mentor and give everyone a chance, his 'can-do' attitude and pride in work, and more than anything, his friendship and loyalty.  God continue to bless Wana, his children and grandchildren during this season.  Renard showed us all how to deal with a terminal illness with dignity and humility.  He will be missed but his legacy will live on through many.

Our prayers, thoughts, and love go out to the Ricks family at this time.  I have known "Ricky" practically all my life.  We are from the same home town of Sheffield Alabama, and went to the same Church congregation (19th St. Church of Christ where his dad was one of our elders).  Ricky was also our youth director and our chorus director and was very dedicated to both.  We were also proud when he was a tv newscaster on our local tv station WOWL.  Many years later my family and I had the wonderful surprise of seeing him at the Evanston Church of Christ in Evanston IL one Sunday morning for worship!  He will be truly missed.

It was an honor to know Renard Ricks and to be his friend.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.

The Lord gives... The Lord takes... I know you are still with us in heart and spirit... Rest in peace my brother... we love you!

Just heard the news about my friend and former coworker Renard Ricks.  What a wonderful man with a great attitude!
My prayers are with your wife and son.  Death may end a life but does not end a relationship.  You will be in our hearts
as long as we are breathing.  We look forward to seeing you in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Words are so inadequate at this time.  Please be comforted in knowing friends are lifting the family in prayer.  God will be the "Comforter" you need in the days to come.
