Deepest condolences to Suzanne, Sarah, Zhak and the Harms family.

Bob easily acclimated into the Carreau side of the family, which requires a quick wit and a thick skin to survive.

He was always the type of person to put other's needs before his own and was a great host whenever we came to visit, showing us the local sights.

Thanks Bob for taking great care of Su, Sarah and Zhak. You touched many lives and your impact on us all will continue to be felt forever.

Robert 'Bob' Harms was one of those rare individuals who bring light and joy to those around him, just by being there. I am so happy that he and my sister Sue were able to spend such a long and happy time together. When Bob and Sue came to Canada this past fall, it was a gift of a lifetime. Bob was in excellent health and form, and it was an amazing time . We will treasure it for ever!

There are no words to adequately describe our sorrow. Bob is my sister's husband. His laugh and sense of humor will never be forgotten. He was always protecting everyone, and making sure everyone was taken care of first, even when he became gravely ill. 
Be at peace, and pain free. Give Mia a huge hug from the family. Until we meet again, thank you for being Su's partner in crime, and for blessing us all with your beautiful, extraordinary daughter. Condolences to Suzanne, Sarah, Zhak and the Harms family.

Keep the memories close to your hearts,  to ease the sorrow that is felt right now.   Even though I hadn't seen Bob in quite some time, I will always remember him when we were growing up on Bermuda Street in Granada Hills!
Our families were close and we had a lot of fun back then!!

I worked for Bob on the West Hollywood SPU Team.  It was the first time I worked for a sergeant who instilled a sense of family in a work environment.  We learned a lot about  the Vice world from him too.  Bob liked to have a good time and we had so much fun doing stings.  Many of us had small children at home, so our families did things together too.  I believe it was because of Bob’s belief in the family.  I really miss those days and I have so many fond memories of working with Bob.  Rest in peace Bob and know you left quite a positive legacy.

Bob (I always called him Robert) was a very kind, generous, and thoughtful person. I enjoyed my time with Robert, Ida, Glenn, Jeff, Eric, Frank and K-9 Jeff on the PLM Crew. We worked hard, but we always laughed hard! 

Rest in Peace Robert. Thanks for all the talks  we shared over the last 3 years during each others journey during the tough times, the treatments, the bad news, the encouraging news, all of it! 

Take care Robert. And tell Glenn you are “In Charge” and can open that Legal Source Book anytime you wish! 🤣

What can I say about Bob?  He was the best boss I ever had.  Bob was always kind and respectful. I can't remember a job that I was so happy to go to every day.  He was such a good support when everyday things became too much to handle.  The crew all had respect for him and also his humor.  If you couldn't remember something you could count on Bob to have a record of it.
I loved him and will always be grateful for his support.

Rest in Peace dear heart.

Bob was always smiling!  He really enjoyed being part of L.A.S.D., and showing others how much fun you could actually have while doing the job. 
So many of us learned from him about his expertise from his prior working assignment at Vice. 
I looked forward to coming to work, and a big part of that was because Bob was my sergeant. The stings we did over the years at West Hollywood, the family events, and later the operations at Palmdale Narcotics, made me very fortunate to have known him!

We had the crew from the show "L.A. Detective" of A & E put hidden video cameras in our rental vehicles for our prostitution stings.  Rumor has it, they can still be found on You Tube!

Bob always made me laugh! Bob and my late husband Glenn Brandon worked together in narcotics in Palmdale. He attended his funeral in February and he was such a comfort to me at that difficult time. I will be forever grateful for his love and support! He was a  one of the  great ones and will be forever missed.
