Robert Joseph Landis

Due to COVID-19 restrictions a graveside service was held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park with Father Olin of St. Clare Catholic Church, officiating.

Robert Joseph Landis was born in Holton, Kansas to Mary Elizabeth Shoff on September 14, 1933. He lived in Kansas until the age of 7, then moved to Los Angeles. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1952. He married Barbara Jean Apperson on August 9, 1952 in Hollywood, California. He worked in various positions during his 31 year career at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. After they retired, he and wife, Barbara, had many happy years traveling the U.S. in there 5th wheel trailer. Their love of Lake Tahoe always brought them home to their cabin located by the Lake. Grandma Barbara enjoyed floating in the lake during the day and gambling during the night, and Grandpa Bob was always by her side.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother Mary Shoff.

Robert was survived by his wife, Barbara Landis, his four children: Susan (John) Klein, Tim (Mary) Landis, Linda (Todd) Willard and Tom Landis, five grandchildren: Shiloh (Chris) Seddon, Casey (Jenna) Klein, Tiffany (Josh) Koscienly, Michael Landis, and Jason (Mallory) Klein, and seven great-grandchildren.
