Robert Sumpter, age 76 of Saugus, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012. He was born on March 2, 1936 in Cherry Hill, Arkansas to Raymond and Mabel (Holiday) Sumpter.
Robert was a retired major and pilot in the Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam. Following his military retirement, Robert worked in insurance sales for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jonene; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
