I am Martin and Celia Mendez Daughter Mary and I first want to send my Condolences to my Family Lori, Richie, Susie Paul, and the rest of the Family and my Apologies for not being able to attend the Memorial service. I was so Sad and Cried when I heard the news of Joes passing I remember when I was a little going to Joe and Lori's house to pick up a birthday cake that our Family would order from Lori they were Yummy Cakes too......as my mami and Lori would be visiting one another I would hear a voice saying Hi Mary coming from the office along with the aroma of sweet smoke coming from his pipe (I Loved the way it smelled) I would go by the door way to say Hi back Shyly to Joe King!!!....and go on my merry way back to the living room and sit on the organ bench Imagining and pretending to be a professional pianist!!!....lol......This is what you would say was my Happy place as a Child. In 2017 my papi came to California to visit us and he stayed one night with Joe and Lori the next day he was so Happy and Excited in telling me how they were just as Happy to see him as he was with them he shared with me how Special they made him feel and anyone who knows my papi he is a man a little words so for him to just express his joy for Joe King shows how special he was to my Papi and for the rest of our Family.....GOD BLESS YOU JOE KING AND MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.......
