I'll always remember you as my Grandpas Bills baby brother, people always said that. I couldn't wait for you and Tia Carmen to get to the Family Reunion, all us kids knew Esther Jesse and Gilbert were coming and the fun would really start for us and hopefully we'd get to see Esther sing as you played guitar and sung along. Miss those days so very much. Greatest times of my life, thanks for the beers you knew we took from your ice chest. Love you, Rest In Peace with the rest and the best, aka your siblings, you all keep on jamming up there.

To my Tia Carmen, cousin Esther and cousin Jessie, our deepest condolences.  We loved our Uncle Sammy, such a good person. He will be missed. I Love You Tio Sammy.

I will always remember you Tio Sammy coming over my Mom and Dads home on Hewitt St. In San Fernando. This is where it all began for the Avila Brothers. You were the best guitar player. When my brother Isaac took interest in playing guitar, I remember you teaching him at a young age.  Now you've gone to be with The Avila Brothers and will play together once again, in heaven ,and be with our grandparents and the rest of your brothers and sisters.  God Bless You Uncle Sammy , our family will miss you dearly.
