I just heard today of Sal's passing. Vicky and Molly please accept my sincere and belated condolences.  Sal was always a good friend to me from the 60s to the 80s. After that we lost track, but I did think about him and the good times we had whenever I got to reminiscing of the old days.  Once at party, he and I played a practical joke on everyone by getting in a fake shouting match and then a fist fight. By the way, I was also born in Detroit.  I'm not sure we knew that about each other.

Dear Vicky.  I am so sorry for your loss.   I remember your wedding to Sal.   I think it was the first wedding I ever attended.  It was so much.  Sal was such a special man.  He was a public servant and I admired him for this.   Always,  your old neighbor from across the street.  Lorette

Even though I was a teenager, I was treated like I really mattered by Sal. He was a true gem.

I was a student of Mrs. Poretta's in 1989. She was my favorite and I'm saddened to hear of her husband's passing. I loved the stories she used to tell about her family.
