Sibyl Youell

SIBYL E YOUELL, age 93, a resident of Canyon Country, passed peacefully from this life on December 18, 2011 in Panorama City, following a brief illness. She was born the 6th of 8 children to Charles and Jessie Blake in Bentley, Kansas. Sibyl was happily married to Ivan Youell for 51 years. She lived in Sacramento for 70 years before coming to live in the Santa Clarita Valley, which she described as "up in the mountains." You would have thought she was on a scenic tour of Colorado when riding around town. She saw the beauty that we all take for granted every day. She is survived by her brother, Philip, her daughter, Judy and son-in-law Wilmer Pittman, of Canyon Country. Also two sons, Charles and Larry, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center Day Care and Gladys Ehrhardt and her wonderful staff made our mother's final years some of her happiest and most productive. Memorial donations to the Day Care program in Sibyl's memory would be greatly appreciated. 22900 Market St, Newhall, CA 91321.
