Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on July 28th at Eternal Valley. Rosary will be from 10:30am to 11:00am on July 29th at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on July 29th at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Olin officiating. Military Honors, Presentation of the Flag, and a Final Salute will follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in the Veterans Garden.
Stan was born in Cavite, Philippines to Agustin Barcega and Valentina Espiritu on November 13, 1933. He married Dominga Dela Cruz on January 19, 1969 in Pasay City, Philippines. He served the United States Navy for 20 years beginning 1958. In 1978, he was honorably discharged and transferred to the Naval Fleet Reserve, where he served up to 1988. He received medals for Good Conduct and National Defense, and was decorated with ribbons for Armed Forces Expeditionary, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service, National Defense, and a Navy Presidential Unit Citation. Stan self-taught himself to become a mechanic, of which skill he used when he became a business owner of public transportations for several years in the 1980s before eventually retiring.
Stan is survived by his wife, Dominga, three children, Joseph, Vera, and Meredith, and four grandchildren, Skylla, Gianna, Jannik, and Jacob.
Pallbearers will be Joseph, Vera, Max, Michael, Eric, Joshua and Zaldy.
