In 1973 a couple of friends of mine and I drove up to the Antelope Valley together. We were very much into music. One of my friends was the "Son of Rock and Roll" Rocky Burnette and the other was Tim Sullivan. We wrote a great song together called "Country Ways". I am much older now but I still have the demo of my song that Steve produced. I met him and his father, Cliffie, once and Steve was nothing but nice to me when I was a young and struggling songwriter. Thank you Steve for helping me feel 10 feet tall with The Beatles Gold Records hanging on the wall at ATV Music back in the day. Godspeed and we'll all be singing God's praises someday in heaven!

Steve was a great guy and had a great sense of humor. I will always remember riding horses with him and just enjoying his company. His whole family was great and like my sister Bonnie said, "Dorothy and Clifford were a great influence on our community and highly respected". Goodbye Steve, we will all miss you.

I remember Steve for his kindness and humor. I, like so many other girls, had a big crush on Steve. I remember riding my horse to the ranch hoping to see him. His mother Dorothy and father Cliffie were a giant influence on the community. The Stone family was there for the 4-H kids in the valley. Always volunteering their ranch and their time. Steve loved his family and his friends. He liked to talk about the good ole days at Hart High. My condolences to his family and all who loved him.
