One of my most favorite memories of Susie is being together with her at the hospital the night our first grandson, Jackson was born.  For many hours we talked, laughed, cried, hugged, worried, hoped and waited to see our beautiful grandbaby, and to know that Shannon was doing well.  As the evening progressed, Jeremy would come to the lobby and give us updates, it was at this time I think that we both noticed that a lullaby was coming from the hospital intercom.  We two very sharp, don't miss a trick, grandma's put 2 and 2 together, every time a baby was born the lullaby would play.  Well then, we started putting Jeremy's  updates together with the lullaby's and when we thought it must be the one, we started jumping, hugging and giggling like two crazies.  Sure enough out came Jeremy with the wonderful news that beautiful, tiny Jackson had been born, and he and Shannon were doing well, then the tears of joy started.  This is just one story of many I could tell...........  Susie I love you, I can feel your hug and will miss you always, you brought such joy to my life.   Grandma, Donna 

Susie was a woman who loved fiercely, with her whole heart. 14 years ago, I was so nervous to meet the lady that Jer loved so much, only to realize moments after our first hug that she already felt like family and I was officially one of her "honeys". She never missed a moment to tell you she was proud of you, you look beautiful or she loved you followed by a smooch right on the lips and a big hug.
Her favorite hobby was her family, and at the very top was being a Bubbie. She loved our guys, "her sweethearts", beyond measure and hearing the stories she would tell her friends the last couple days has brought so much light and joy into our broken hearts. She was a cheerleader, a confidant, a partner-in-crime and a constant source of love. She laughed easily, had no concept of how much food is needed per person, loved a good white zip-up sweater and a manicure. Our families fused together easily and the love, bonds and memories we have created over the years will live in our hearts forever. We will miss her everyday but I take comfort in knowing that to see her all we have to do is look around and know that she left the best parts of herself here with us.
