Funeral services will be held 10 am Friday May 21, 2021 at Eternal Valley
Memorial Park with the Rev. Gary Dickey officiating. Burial will follow at
Eternal Valley.
Thomas “Tom” was born in Lepanto, Arkansas to Virginia and Ernest
Glover on March 23, 1949. Moved to Los Angeles, California in 1953. He
went to school in Los Angeles & Torrance, Ca. He married the love of his
life, Charlane Branch on December 28, 1968 in Redondo Beach. He and
Charlane moved to Saugus, Ca. in 1972. He worked for Soule Steele in
Carson, Ca (10 yrs) Thatcher Glass in Saugus (2yrs), HR Textron in
Pacoima (8 yrs), and Evans and Son Construction, Saugus, Ca for 30 years
as an electrician. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served in the Army 101st
Airborne and was a Door Gunner on helicopters. He was involved in
Motocross racing & Softball Leagues. He was most proud of being for 20
years with Wm. S Hart Baseball & Softball, he coached his sons and was
one of the first Umpires, for girls softball, to be inducted into their Hall of
Fame. Although he had no daughters, being an umpire for Girls Softball was
his favorite hobby, following them to several tournaments around the state
and country with his wife. He and his wife had an Aloha for Kauai, Hawaii
and visited once or twice a year, not missing a day of snorkeling everyday
and visiting with their Kauai Ohana.
Tom is preceded in death by his loving mother Virginia and dear brother of
sisters Lynn Widner and Mary Glover and Uncles Vernon, Bill, Bob, Jim.
Tom is survived by his wife Charlane. Loving father of Craig Thomas
Glover and Kevin Lee Glover. His father Ernest “Rusty” Glover. Beloved
Granddaughter Kylie Joi Glover. A nephew David Kelly Widner, Aunt
Marge Bradshaw and Uncle Al. Beloved Sister-in-law Rene Jayne “Brat”
Bonner & her husband Fredrick Steven Bonner and a host of loving friends.
