Victor was born on July 15, 1936 in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico to Ramon Davila and Cruzita Nieves. At the age of nineteen, Victor served two years in the Puerto Rican National Guard. He then married his love of his life Elizabeth Rojas Sanez on January 14, 1960 in New York, NY. They were married for 61 years. Victor had one son, Jose Davila and three daughters, Martha Rivera, Iris Iglesias, Maria Acosta. Including twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Victors favorite hobbies included watching sports, creating nicknames for everyone, and his extensive sport card and coin collection. He also loved to play the card game spades and going to the race track. He always knew who the best horses and jockeys were.
Being very old school he was not the best when it came to expressing his feelings but he never failed to show his love to his family through his actions. Whenever his family or friends needed him, he was always there to help anyway he could.
“It’s hard to lose the great hero of our life. May God help you to calm your heart & give you strength. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure… Rest in Peace.”
Our family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all those who have prayed and comforted us during this time of loss.
