Hi Dr. Gardner. I can't believe it has been over 7 years. You are deeply missed. I've unfortunately lost my husband Leo on 3/12/2019. His service is on 4/6/2019 at Eternal Valley. I still tell people about you to this day. You were so great with Bogey our Chow Chow and our cat Samantha. They lived long lives because of your care. Having lost my Leo I now know how hard it must have been for your wife. You were a dear man. I'm utterly lost.

Hopefully your back feels great up there, right? I still remember you telling us to give Glucosamine Chondroitin to Bogey & for us to use! God Bless You. Diane G.

I was eating a turkey sandwich today and it reminded me of Dr. Gardner so I went looking for him online, only to find out that he had passed. He was the most amazing vet. The sandwich deal: My cat was not responding to treatment and wasn't eating. It was lunchtime, and Dr. Gardner was eating a sandwich, looking at Angel and wondering what to do for her. He plucked a piece of chicken from his lunch and offered it to her. That single move turned the corner. I wanted to thank him again for that, and for ALL of the wonderful ways he helped me and my menagerie of cats and collies.
His passing is a great loss.

There are not really any words to describe him and we all know what he stood for. He was a God gift to our little pet creatures. God bless him and his family and friends.

Dr Gardner, our beloved little Poquita went to Rainbow Bridge a few weeks ago. She was 15 years old and you had taken care of her since she was a pup of 5 weeks. You will never know how much we missed you and Steve at that time. So if you happen to see a familiar little furball, please give her a pat for us and tell her we'll be along sometime soon. Thank you so much, again, for all you've done for our many pets over the years.

All the pets I had throughout the years lived long and happy lives under the care of Dr. Gardner. His wisdom, compassion, and gentleness cannot be replaced. I thank him for the love he brought to this earth.

Dr. Gardner was our vet for a very long time, probably 40 years or so when he had his original practice in the little house. Never has there been such a compasionate and wonderful soul. Our family will miss him so much as a man and doctor.
Condolences to his family from the Panfil family.

We just found out that Dr. Gardner has passed away. He was our vet for 22 years, though we moved from Newhall to West LA; we kept him as our vet; there was no way that we would take our Akitas to anybody else. He helped for the delivery of my first Akita and 13 years later he helped him to move on to dog heaven as we all wiped tears in the back room (including him). My second Akita loved him too and was always so excited to go and see him.
He is deeply missed. Our deepest condolences to his family; we miss him and love him.
(If anyone has Steve's mailing address please e-mail it to us. Thanks)

I can't even begin to express how hard it has to been to find another vet for my boys. Dr. Gardner was the best. I have cried every time I have walked into another office. My "boys" do not enjoy their trips to the vet anymore. We miss Steve and Kyra. I have posted before, but felt the need to express what a void Dr. Gardner has left. My family misses him and his staff so much. His family is constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Dr. Gardner you are truely missed and nobody can fill your shoes. Heathe & Greg Cueto... Dover and Bristol also...
