Wilbur James Hamburger was born March 25, 1936 to Philip and Minnie (Sauer) Hamburger in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He grew up on a farm in Corn, Oklahoma. Graduating from Corn High School in 1954. He attended 1 year of college at Southwestern State. In 1956 his family moved to a farm in South Dakota.
On September 4, 1960 Wilbur married Jean Maas. In 1963 they moved to California. He retired from active Real Estate Sales in 2000 but remained involved at the weekly meetings. Wilbur enjoyed sports especially fishing and hunting with his children. He also enjoyed woodworking with his grandchildren.
Wilbur is survived by his wife Jean, Sons, Robert (Stefanie) of Castaic, David (Christa) of Saugus, Mark (Diane) of Saugus, Tom (Catherine) of Canyon Country, Daughter, Sarah (Mathew) Rogers of Northridge. Also 12 grandchildren, Dakota. Sister Neomi (Wayne) Johnson of Dallas, Texas. Many nieces and nephews. Wilbur especially enjoyed the time spent with his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harvey and sister Clara Steele.
