Wynema Wheelock

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Chapel of the Oaks. Arrangements are by Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary.

Wynema was born in Marshall County, Tennessee to W.O. Beard and Nancy Ailene Dodd on August 29, 1927. She attended school in Marshall County, Tennessee. Wynema was an Avon representative for over 50 years and maintained her status in the President’s Club for most of those 50 years. She worked as a Cafeteria Manager for the Los Angeles Unified School District for more than 30 years. In addition, she worked the concession stands at Dodger Stadium for over 20 years.

Wynema is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Thurston, Billy and Ray Beard, and her grandson Jett McDaniel.

Wynema is survived by her children, son Gary Wade (Nancy) and her daughters Shireen Wheelock, Valerie Wheelock Najarian, Nancy Mc Daniel-Park, (Bret). Grandchildren Rich Wade, Samantha Goodell, Tracy Utech, Emily Taylor and Skyler, Mackenna and Madison Park. Great-grandchildren Nicholas and Daniel Wade, Noah Utech and Pandora Taylor. Honorary family members are Lawrence, Kay and Larry Park.

The family of Wynema wishes to extend their sincere thanks to her caregivers Rosario Cariaso and Ana Herrera who provided her tender loving care.

For those attending the service, in lieu of flowers, please feel free to bring an unwrapped toy that will be donated to the La Canada Sheriff’s Department Annual Toy Drive, honoring Wynema in the spirit of Christmas and her love of children.
