Nunziata, Barbara Ann, 66 years young, left us too soon on August 18, 2021. A native of New York, Barbara was born on November 4, 1954 and was a graduate of the Farmingdale High School class of 1972. Barbara received an associate degree from the State University of New York, Farmingdale. Barbara relocated to North Carolina in 1987. She was currently employed by the Trading Post and was a long time employee of Lagunas Printing, formerly Conover Printing.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Biagio and Frances Nunziata. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Frances D’Amato, Lois Haas (Bill) and Bernadette Clawson (Raymond), her nieces Lois Henry (Rick) and Patricia McKenna, and her nephews Ben (Jordan) and Thomas Clawson, Carl (Judy) and Andrew Haas and her great-nieces and nephews, Caroline and Meghan Henry and Will, Hazel Grace and Charlie Haas. Barbara is also survived by her cousins and by dear friends, who were by her side during her recent illness. Barbara was an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where she served as a eucharistic minister and lector. Barbara was an avid New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan and would have been pleased to know that the Yankees beat the Red Sox twice this week. She treasured spending time with her family in New York, Virginia and Myrtle Beach. She loved to dance, was a pinball wizard and a fierce competitor of board games, cards and dominoes. Barbara was a caring and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, godmother and friend with a heart that proved to be too big for this earth.
