

After graduating George Washington High School, she went on to receive training from the Bureau of Public Health Nursing, as well as the Civil Service Preparatory School. She then worked as a secretary at the Central Intelligence Agency until her retirement. Bernice was known for her sassy attitude and enjoyed a number of activities including traveling, reading books, watching movies, playing poker and enjoying musical events.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Lee Moore; brother, Jack London; and nephew, Lenny London. She is survived by her granddaughter, Lara N A Moore; niece, Karen London; niece, Sherri London; nephew, Craig London, and a number of extended family and friends.
As per her wishes, her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 22nd at 11:00 am at King David Memorial Garden in Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd, Building 3, Suite A, Newton, NC 28658 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF, PO Box 3790, Boone, IA 50037-0920.
