Born May 2, 1925, he was the son of the late Carl Townsend Zwingli and Marie Allen Zwingli.
Carl was a US Navy Veteran, having served during WWII in the South Pacific.
Carl retired from Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in the 1980’s. He enjoyed walking and staying fit; he enjoyed painting and photography. Many of his paintings are displayed around Newton businesses. He also received many awards for his art work.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Dooley Zwingli and a son, Michael.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Zwingli and wife, Jean; 2 granddaughters, Mara and Kristina Zwingli; 2 nephews, Jack and Bob Zwingli.
A Celebration of Life will be at 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at The Spirit Place at Abernethy Laurels in Newton, with Chaplain Susan Roddey officiating.
Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
