Callie was born February 25, 1948, in Catawba County to Carol Yount Lutz and the late William Raymond “W.R.” Lutz. She grew up on her family dairy farm (Lutz Dairy) and married into the Sigmon Dairy Farm family. Callie was a housewife and also ran several paper routes that she used to help supplement the family income to make sure the family had everything they needed. Affectionately known as “Bubbles” by her grandchildren due to her always having bubbles for them when they came to visit, she was quick witted, fun loving, and always cracking jokes. Callie was passionate about her family and was the mother of four boys, but was also the "mother" to so many others that she took in over the years. She relied on her Faith in her Savoir Jesus Christ and proudly shared His Message with everyone. She could provide scriptures for any circumstance to provide guidance.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Michael Kenneth "Kenny" Sigmon; sons, Lance Sigmon and wife Tatum, Josh Sigmon; Jeremy Sigmon and wife Jessica, and Benjamin Sigmon; grandchildren, Evan, Chase, Mayson, Alexia, and Brody; brothers, Rusty Lutz and wife Cindy, Dale Lutz, Todd Lutz and wife Diane; and sisters, Beth Bowman and husband Larry, and Jan Sorrells and husband Danny. Also surviving is Aunt Mickey Glickman and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM at New Jerusalem Church with Pastor Randall Cauble officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Lutheran Church in Newton.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at New Jerusalem Church.
