Charles Simpson Wilfong

Charles “Charlie” Simpson Wilfong, age 80, of Newton, NC, entered the Church Triumphant, peacefully, on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Abernethy Laurels in Newton, NC. Born June 4, 1937, in Iredell County, NC, he was the son of the late Charles Summey Wilfong and Emma Mae Simpson Wilfong.

Charlie was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Newton, NC. He had worked for over 40 years for Newton Implement Company and had retired from Hollar Tractor Co.

Survivors include his brother, Jack Wilfong and wife Betty of Newton, NC; nephews, Darrell Feimster and wife Debbie of Newton, NC, and Troy Feimster and wife Heather of Newton, NC; and cousins, George Fisher of Mt. Pleasant, NC, and Ben Huss of Newton, NC.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Gil Gilbert and Rev. Susan Roddey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Monday.
