Cora Cowles Gaither Shook

She was born August 29, 1990 in Catawba County, NC. She is survived by her father Lawson Gaither and Jessica James and mother Tina Johnson Hoyle and Dennis Hoyle. Cora attended 1st Baptist Church in Newton.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Elizabeth Shook; son, Owen Heafner Shook; sister, Summer Willer and husband, Matthew of Winston-Salem and nephew, Jackson Willer; brother, Chris Gaither; step-brother, Kenneth Hoyle and Brian Hoyle, also special friend, Chris Hatchett; grandparents, Albert and Ann Gaither and Carlise and Ann Johnson; Aunts and Uncles, Bill and Kate Gaither, Thomas and Susan Jones, Comer and Elizabeth Gaither, Allen Johnson and Tony Johnson.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 1st Baptist Church in Newton with Reverend Tommy Hullette officiating. A graveside service will follow at Eastview Cemetery, Newton.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at 1st Baptist Church in Newton.
