The life of David Garrison traveled through many crossroads. His dedication to family, work and hobbies was endless. Many knew David as “Pappy” whether attending a family cookout or a fireman event, “Pappy” was the code word. Working with Southern Railway was his profession for forty years. As soon as he’d arrive home the overalls were on and off to the fields he’d go. His love of farming and cattle continued for sixty years.
David started his community volunteer contributions in his forties. This dedication started with St. Timothy Volunteer fire department in Conover for twenty plus years. Then when he moved to Lincolnton he joined Propst Crossroads volunteer Fire Department. At approximately seventy years old David attended CVCC for classes to attain his EMT endeavors. Later he worked for Maiden Rescue squad.
