David Austin Saine

Born January 16, 1998, he was the son of David Lewis Saine, Jr. and Kristi Lee Rushen Saine of Hickory.

David was of the Baptist faith and was baptized when he was 8 years old at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover.

David was a rising senior at St. Stephens High School in Hickory. He was a nose guard on the varsity football team and had a tremendous love for football and his team. He was always the first one to have his jersey on. He was his mom’s gentle giant who always had a loving smile and was a kind, sweet young man.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Lewis Saine, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, David Saine, Jr.; mother, Kristi Saine; paternal great-grandmother, Pearl Raines; paternal grandmother, Judy Saine; maternal grandfather, Ronnie Rushen; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Rushen; and cousin, Mya Rushen.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 3:30, on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover, with Dr. Ed Yount and Pastor Paul Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Springs Road Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
