Born July 16, 1936 in Guilford Co., he was the son of the John Wesley Sutton and Lucy Crodock Sutton. He was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness in Newton where he has been an Elder for the last 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Sellers Sutton of the home; sons, Don Wesley Sutton and wife, Renee Palermo of Kansas, Russell Sutton and wife, Rose of Lincolnton, Bruce Sutton and wife, Erin of Gastonia; daughters, Cynthia Sutton of Lincolnton; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.
