Donna Omelia Woodfin

Donna Woodfin, 86 of Conover passed away quietly with her family at her side Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born in Taylorsville on December 10, 1931 to the late Granville and Clara Childress Carrigan.

Donna loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her church family at Trinity Baptist Church in Newton where she was a founding member. Donna loved the smiles that her cooking brought to her family and church members. After she retired from The Newton and Conover school system, she and her late husband Billy Bob enjoyed traveling to Florida during the cold season to enjoy the warm weather.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Bob and two sisters, Dot Alexander and Patsy Barnes.

Left to cherish her memories are two sons, Barry and Eric Woodfin; grandchildren, Brian, Jody, Emily and great grandchildren, Aeryal, Zach, Justus, Triston, Ella, Cameron and Georgia.

A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17th, 11am at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Brant Hoots officiating, 725 W 13th St, Newton, NC 28658. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
