

Born September 9, 1926, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late William Vernon Sigman and Lula Mertie Sigmon Sigman. Dot was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church in Newton, NC. At St. James Lutheran Church, she was honored with a lifetime membership of WELCA, the senior citizens group, and was always involved in making chicken pies for their annual dinner. Dot was a former resident of Abernethy Laurels, where she was a member of the Red Hats, and enjoyed participating in the games and various activities. She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fay Lester Harris, her second husband, Francis Melborne Henry; brothers, Eual Sigman, Ralph Sigman, Edwin Sigman, Coyte Sigman, Walter Sigman, and Addison Sigman; sisters, Mabel Moretz, Emily Dunn, Leona Moser, and Jennie Zoe Sigman; son-in-law, Billy Wayne Isenhour, Sr..
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Brenda H. Isenhour of Conover, NC, Carolyn H. Ramseur and husband, Dwight, of Maiden, and Barbara Harris of Newton, NC; grandchildren, Paula Little and husband, Kenny, Wayne Isenhour and wife, Rhonda, Justin Ramseur and wife, Sara; great-grandson, Samuel Isenhour.
A service of resurrection will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at St. James Lutheran Church. Rev. John Lingle will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:15 PM on Sunday. Dot’s grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
